RE//DISCOVER Bible Study

Most Christians believe that Hell as a state of eternal, conscious, infinite torment for unbelievers is a core, unavoidable, and obvious teaching of the New Testament. But is it so obvious when reading the original Greek language of the New Testament? Join us as we start to look at Hell using the Wesleyan Quadrilateral, starting with Scripture.

If we don't "have" souls, but rather "are" souls, how does that change how we think about the interplay of our spirituality and our physiology? Join us as we learn why spiritual practices make much more sense in this Biblical framework.

Most of us think of our "soul" as a disembodied essence - the "real" us that survives even death. But is that what the Bible teaches? Join us as we discover that humans don't have souls - we are souls.

The UFO/UAP phenomenon has captured our attention globally at new levels in recent years. Fighter pilots and intelligence officers alike have testified under oath before Congress that we are not alone, and that they have reason to believe the United States military is in possession of non-human technology and biological remains. Many Christians say all this is just demonic deception and illusion - one big scam and psyop. But what if it is true? Could our faith handle that? Join us as we discuss the UFO phenomenon and use it to help us rethink what we believe about entities like angels and demons.

The Prophets spoke a lot about God's judgement coming upon His covenant people and their neighbors on account of perpetrating evil and injustice. But what happens to people in those communities who have been righteous? Join us as we discover that the Biblical pattern is more complex than you might think.

How much does God really care about injustice? Join us as we answer that and more by hearing the words of the prophet Micah.
